Steak & Pasta

Red meat AND pasta? I know what you're thinking! How can this be healthy? There are some secrets in here that make this dish healthy without compromising on taste and flavor. It's so good your family won't know they're eating healthy.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2-3 pounds of Top Round Steak

  • 2-3 zucchinis

  • 1 basket of mushrooms

  • 2 cans of Italian seasoned tomatoes

  • 2 cups of cauliflower pasta

  • 1 bottle of Italian dressing

  • 2 tablespoons of crushed garlic

  • 2 tablespoons of avocado oil

  • Optional: Crushed red pepper flakes

DIRECTIONS

Begin the day before by marinating your steak overnight. Place your steak in a gallon sized Ziplock bag. Then pour the Italian dressing and your crushed garlic into the bag. To prevent spills, place the bag in a bowl to refrigerate.

After the steak has finished marinating, place your steak in a medium sized skillet and set the stove to a medium heat. Brown the steak on both sides and be careful not to overcook. Place the steak aside to cool and do NOT clean the skillet!! This will give your veggies flavor!

Slice your zucchini and mushrooms and add them to the same skillet with avocado oil. Brown the veggies for about 10 minutes while stirring occasionally.

While the veggies brown, begin to cook the pasta by following the directions on the box.

After the vegetables are brown, add the canned tomatoes into the skillet.

Slice steak and add back to the skillet.

Drain your pasta and add to the skillet.

Stir, serve, and enjoy!

Serves 4-5
